When I heard of the vampire ball I saw it was a romantic event and semiformal. I went out and bought a dress! So did one of my friends. However my other friend isn't the dress up type and was relieved to see she didn't have to if she didn't feel comfortable. I think the whole givig people ideas is awesome! I know that most people will be dressed up and everyone will have fun no matter how they look!!! This is a charity event for the love! no one should be crying about how you run it! Its incredibly upscale and we know that you two fork out some serious cash to have it! Not everyone likes dressing up and I think you are being smart to give options, like I said a charity ball for a great great cause! Some people are just insensitive jerks. I am sorry you lost an aunt to the disease and my husband and I will attend every benefit you have to help find a cure! Good luck!

When I first heard there would be a Twilight ball for JDRF I was super excited. Such an amazing cause and fun way to raise money for it. I attended the zombie prom and had fun but I thought this would be a little mroe upscale of an event, I guess what I am reallt saying is that I was hoping for more emphasis on the vampire ball portion of this event so that not everyone there was in jeans and pea coats and all trying to look like the Cullens, the Nomads or the Volturi. It just seems as thuogh it sounded great to a lot of my friends and famiy that I informed until they went to the website and the costume selection and the excitement to attend seemed to dwindle. Most of the people that will be attending this function are grown ups and on behalf of a large group of them I would like to say, We'd love the twilight series and love the theme but it would be nice to have an excuse to attend a ball in actual "ball" "gown" attire and not feel over dresss because everony looks like edward and Bella..

your story touched my heart so. I am so encouraged to see what you have done with your tragedy.. we too have so much of this killing illness in our family. my son who was 35 was also taken and this is such an encouragement to turn it into something positve,,, it has been 5 years and seem like yesterday. I would like to help with this cause. I'll be in touch. Tena from Forks WA
